In our first project for Architecture and Environment it was rather and easy one where we were tasked on creating a creative essay on Sustainable Architecture. This then sparked an idea in my head and many of my other group mates to tackle the age old problem of flooding in Malaysia. We then looked back into the traditional vernacular architecture of the land and proposed an idea into integrating stilts into a home to create an elevated home that also incorporates eco friendly building materials and design strategies. It made me also learn how to use Sketchup to create a prototype design and it was very fun. However, the word limit of 400 words was very restrictive.
